Professor Scapagnini’s medical-scientific team

Grotta Giusti’s multi discipline team is coordinated by Professor Giovanni Scapagnini, a Professor of clinical biochemistry at the University of Molise and the Scientific Secretary of the Società Italiana di Nutriceutica (Italian Society of Nutriceutics). Alongside him is the medical-scientific committee of the STB group, composed by Professor Aldo Pinchera, the coordinator of the new, European institute for the prevention and therapy of obesity (istituto europeo per la prevenzione e la terapia IEPTO), Doctor Claudio Cricelli, the president of the Italian Society of General Medicine (SIMG), and Doctor Nicola Angelo Fortunati, the General Director of the STB group.

Scapagnini has been doing basic research and molecular biochemistry research for many years, with particular reference to cerebral ageing processes. He contributed to important research in the fields of biochemistry and nutriceutics with publications in high impact, international scientific journals. He works with important research centers like that of Roberto Gallo in Baltimore, where he is a resident professor.

Complementing Professor Scapagnini’s medical-scientific team are the staff of the thermal centre and spa, made up of medical tutors, dieticians, expert therapists in the field of physical therapy and metabolic fitness, and spa operators who complement the course with exclusive mud therapy and cave treatments, according to the guests needs.
