Innovative diagnostics - the exams carried out consist of a series of multi disciplinary, diagnostic
assessments: medical assessment of general symptomatology, cognitive and psychological-behavioural
assessment, metabolic and nutritional assessment, biostructural, posturographic
assessment and osteopathic assessment. Other innovative genetic tests are carried
out to provide information on the state of susceptibility of an individual towards
a number of complex diseases related to ageing: osteoporosis, dyslipidemia, myocardial
infarction, type 2 diabetes. On the basis of these tests, it is possible to influence
the expressivity of a certain type of polymorphism (SNPs) which is unfavourable
and therefore likely causes certain diseases to develop; this can be influenced
thorugh a special food regime and the integration of specific nutraceuticals.
The programme examines polymorphisms that are susceptible to developing diseases
for which preventive action can be taken through nutrition and nutraceuticals:
osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, triglycerides, cholesterol, hypertension, stroke,
antioxidant activity.
Thermal environment - the originality of the project is based on the use of thermal waters and their
special abilities to transfer heat. Thermal treatments, like steam baths in the
natural cave and mud therapy, can increase the body temperature by a substantial
amount. This sets into motion a surge of biological functions that are of both
scientific and practical interest as they cause tissues to produce specific substances
(proteins), in particular blood cells (monocytes), which can stimulate cell repair
processes. Cell repair mechanisms underlie the body’s ability to defend itself
against illnesses and maintain a good state of health, which is ultimately the
main goal of the modern, medical approach regarding humans. Living for a long
time is a good thing if you are healthy.
The most interesting thermal method is definitely that of cave therapy where
the body is completely immersed in a very special and hot yet humid microclimate,
thanks to which heat exchanges with the tissues are strong yet gradual and, above
all, involve vast surfaces, such as the respiratory system (lungs and alveoli).
This creates general stimulation which causes the aforementioned defence mechanisms
to activate, benefiting the entire body.
Strategic food regime - on the basis of the genetic and diagnostic assessments, a personalised food
regime is prescribed that educates the individual about how to eat properly and,
above all, in a way that works with their genetic requirements. The food regime
also makes use of nutraceuticals by means of administering personalised food supplements,
or active ingredients extracted from vegetables that carry out a pharmacological
action which prevents the development of chronic ageing diseases.
The armband - this is a revolutionary, multi-sensor monitor that is worn around the arm whilst
carrying out the programme and which allows the physiological variables of an
individual to be read at all times. The armband registers data regarding the amount
of energy used, the level of physical activity, states of sleep and wakefulness
and quality of life, which is very useful for defining the best programme possible
for metabolic control. The programme includes efficient movement, a good life
style and checking these results over time.
The
blueprint - upon completion of protocol, the medical-scientific team draws up the ‘Longevity
Blueprint’, a detailed report which contains comprehensive therapeutic and preventitive
advice, as well as all the values of the biomarkers detected at the moment of
diagnosis. By doing this, the guest will also have a clinical and scientific instrument
available therefore, if they wish, they can involve their doctor and continue
their anti-ageing project on returning home.
