The Bar at Grotta Giusti offers traditional cocktails as well as personalized
"health" drinks prepared with first choice natural products and a wide selection
of teas and tisanes.
Special Events and Evenings:
Personalized cocktails, aperitifs, digestives and wine tasting events where the
wines are matched up with hand made chocolate, training courses for cocktails
and helpful advice......
 Professionalism, courtesy and an inborn cordiality are all distinguishing points
of the young members of our Hotel Bar staff. The Head Barman, Andrea Balleri,
is the winner of the "John White" Competition, the much sought after international
prize which took place in Singapore in 2002. The cocktail with which he won the
prize, "La Mandrakata", takes its name from the remake of the film "Horse Fever"
and is dedicated to Gigi Proietti who interpreted the role of Mandrake in 1975.
"..It is a tribute to one of our most regular guests at Grotta Giusti...." says
Balleri. Before qualifying for the finals in Singapore, Balleri won the National Italian
competition with "Bagno Maria", cocktail inspired by the title of a film with
Giorgio Panariello, famous Tuscan comedian and regular guest at Grotta Giusti.
Just a few days earlier Andrea Balleri had won the World Championship "Bacardi
Martini Grand Prix" in Saint Vincent with "Abriendo Puertas".
Not only is Balleri a talented barman, but also a young, but expert, sommelier.
In 2004 he gains second position in the Italian regional competition which qualifies
him for the National Sommelier Competition. And so the story continues.......
Assistant Barman Francesco Iglio takes part in the Italian national AIBES competition
in November 2004 and wins the "sparkling" category with his "LA RUMBA" cocktail.....
